Terms & conditions
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of Tradehub, the marketplace operated in Zambia (referred to here as "Tradehub", "we" or "us"). By creating an account or using the platform you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Tradehub.
2. Accounts
- One account per person. You must provide a valid Zambian mobile number or email address and verify it.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for everything done through your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to sell. Buying requires your guardian's involvement if you are under 18.
- Give your real name. Renames are limited because impersonating other sellers is the most common fraud on marketplaces.
3. Selling on Tradehub
- Only list items you are entitled to sell, that are legal in Zambia, and that match your description and photos.
- Prohibited items include weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, stolen property, animals sold cruelly, and anything else Zambian law forbids. We remove these and may suspend the account.
- You set your price and may negotiate — offers are binding only once both sides accept and an order is placed.
- Photos go through moderation before they appear publicly. Listings may be removed for breaking these terms.
4. Buying and payments
- When you pay through Tradehub, your payment is held by us and released to the seller only after you confirm you received the item as described — or when a dispute is resolved in the seller's favour.
- "Cash on collection" orders are settled directly between buyer and seller; Tradehub is not part of that payment.
- Once you confirm delivery, the sale is final. If the item is not as described, raise a dispute before confirming.
- Fees, if any apply to a sale, are shown before you place an order. Prices are in Zambian kwacha.
5. Disputes
Either side of an order can raise a dispute. Both parties present their side, Tradehub reviews the evidence, and the held payment is released according to the outcome. Keep communication on the platform — it is the evidence the review relies on.
6. Behaviour we don't allow
- Scams, misrepresentation, or taking buyers off-platform to defraud them.
- Harassment or abusive messages — chat is moderated and reportable.
- Impersonating another person or seller, including by renaming.
- Scraping, automated abuse, or interfering with the platform's operation.
7. Suspension and closure
We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms — including permanently for fraud. You can close your own account from your account settings; we keep the minimum records the law requires (see our privacy policy).
8. Liability
Tradehub is the marketplace, not the seller: goods are sold by the sellers who list them. We are not party to the sale itself, though payments made through the platform are protected as described above. To the extent Zambian law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from trades between users.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the platform grows. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use Tradehub after a change means you accept the updated terms.
