About Tradehub

Zambia's marketplace for buying and selling, from Lusaka to Livingstone, with campus hubs for university communities.

How buyer protection works

When you pay through Tradehub, the seller isn't paid until you have the item.

  1. Step 1: You pay Tradehub

By mobile money or card, at checkout. The seller sees the order is paid and gets it ready.

  2. Step 2: We hold the money

It stays with Tradehub while the seller ships the item or hands it over.

  3. Step 3: You confirm, then the seller is paid

Press Confirm receipt on the order once the item is in your hands. If you don't, the money is released automatically 3 days after payment for pickup orders, or 7 days for delivery.

Something wrong? Open a dispute from the order page before you confirm receipt. The money stays held while we hear from both of you and decide.

Paying cash on collection isn't covered. The money never passes through Tradehub, so there is nothing for us to hold. Check the item before you hand over cash.

Knowing who you're dealing with

  • Every account is verified by SMS or email.
  • Buyers rate sellers after an order, and the ratings appear on the seller's profile and listings.
  • Students can verify with their university or college. Their listings in that campus hub show “Verified student”.
  • Listings are moderated, and photos are reviewed before they go public.

Making a deal

Prices are in kwacha and sellers set their own terms. If a listing accepts offers, you can make one. You can message the seller about any listing before you buy.
